and I'm still trying to figure out how to use my camera! Yes, yes... I will definitely need to get that Thailand/Cambodia vlog out first and asap... or maybe that music video... or was it that song cover? Maybe I'll just hire a team of highly trained monkeys to do it all for me, starting with cleaning my room! Sorry, this just is what happens when you let things pile up... like my crazy ideas! Do you have many big projects, and none are even half-completed?... yep, that's my superpower!

Cambodia...

Arriving in #cambodia we visited the #preahangchekpreahangchorm Shrine in #sieamreap. As we got closer to our parents newly built home, we observed the lifestyle of the neighborhood. Few were living in stone homes while most lived in straw homes.

We felt sick once again and spent about a week and a half resting and recovering. We wanted to make the best of what was left of our vacation and as soon as we felt better, we went to have lunch at Bright Star Cheayden where we were able to fish and have a meal. The light breeze made eating outside more enjoyable as the heat and humidity was already uncomfortable.

We managed to visit a few Temples during our stay:
Wat Prasath Srah Kandal (Wat Kchas)
Wat Ratanak Kuknaram (Wat Rowngkoh)
Wat Thmey

After the Khmer New Years, we headed to the Capitol City - #phnompenh. #aeonmall2 was on our list of places to visit. We spent the day at the mall and even enjoyed watching Godzilla-Kong, The New Empire in IMAX 3D and yes it was in English with Khmer subtitle. The next day, we headed back home and rested before our flight back home to the US.

When we arrive back home, our parents asked us to participate in a tradition that they do twice a year. They bag up 5 lbs of rice grains and 50,000 riel (about 12 USD) and pass it out to the neighbors. The neighbors are grateful for my parents generosity.

We decided to go to Siem Reap a day early so that we can take our parents out to see a Apsara show (dinner and show). It was great! Hope really did enjoy it more then all of us. See really liked the Coconut Dance! The last day before our flight we explored Siem Reap and dined at Urban Tree Hut.

Though most of the trip was very hot and humid, we were grateful that there were places with air conditioning (parent's house, malls, some restaurants, and some convenience stores). The visit to Cambodia seemed short but we met relatives from several places. It was a wonderful time to get to see and know them, even though Liam couldn't understand a word that was said.

We will indeed remember this experience of a lifetime. Until next time Cambodia...

Bangkok...

-March 23 to April 01-
Super late post: This isn't like the other posts where we summarize the highlights of our trip at each location. Rather, this was what we did in #bangkok since it's a little hard to summarize our trip here.

Note: we were suppose to head to Chiang Mai, but the pollution was so bad we had to cancel and skip it instead.

We got sick as soon as we got to Bangkok. But we recovered fast and managed to visit a few places we had on our list (while skipping some).

#iconsiam was a big mall that we had to visit twice. Ground level was full of street vendor type foods that you can smell as you entered the building. Liam took some awesome videos of the indoor waterfall. There's pretty much everything! Best mall so far in the world, we've been to!

#sealifebangkok was a great little adventure for kids. Hope enjoyed the many attractions made available; from seeing schools of fishes to mating seahorses to taking a photo with Ariel and King Triton, and as close to getting eaten by sharks!

Our next stop was #madamtussaudsbangkok where Hope met Captain America and Spiderman; not to mention former President Barrack Obama and Queen Elizabeth II. Most impressively, Hope lifted heavy weights 🤯.

We stopped by #gmmgrammy but we were sad that we didn't get to see any actors during our visit.

We managed to squeezed in a couple appointments at #22squareclinic and #natasaclinic for our facial treatments. GREAT professional services from both. Also made friends!

Our next day involved a Thai Traditional Outfit from #thaistylestudio1984 as we opted to take a photoshoot at a nearby Temple. The photos came out beautiful.

The end of our Bangkok trip ended with Dinner at #xinrongthailand. It was our first time at this type of resturant, so we didn't know what to do for most part. Thanks to our good friend @boompalatpol, @firztx, and @warmsutthi for help. WISHED we got to stay longer and hung out to talk and all more rather than just to eat alone.

Overall, it's all the people that made this city memorable. So thank you to those who spent the short time with us. Without your help and guidance, we may have been lost on the streets 😆.

We already miss you!

MIA Update: 104°F

It's finally a little over a week since you guys probably last heard from us, especially since when we were in Bangkok, Thailand via our Stories, so we wanted to give you an update on what's been happening.

TBH, I'm not sure what happened: We thought we got a lot better the morning we were leaving Bangkok, Thailand to Siem Reap, Cambodia! Actually, I, Liam, was fine as we landed in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

However, I started feeling a bit weird about an hr later. I noticed feeling even more weird when we arrived to the first temple and as I started to sweat a lot, I knew either I was coming down with something, I haven't fully recovered yet from being sick with my cough and sore throat + mucus from Bangkok... maybe I'm just super dehydrated, or was it because my body was producing a LOT OF SWEAT trying to cool my body down from SOMETHING? I noticed I sweated way more than Soph, Hope, or any other people we came across. Literally, I was a waterfall of sweat.

Soon after, I was so cold 🥶 and freezing... and there was a point that I think I zoned out or was asleep and kept calling for Soph or Hope because I felt like I couldn't breathe because so much mucus was in my chest and my nose was so stuffed...

Soph finally caught me calling him, I guess, and took my first temperature of 40C, which we had to convert and found out it was over 104F! He cooled me down with wet towels and an ice covered towel. 4 hours later now, I'm not cold or chilly, fever was gone, and my temperature is finally close to normal. I took some pain reliever meds as well.

I still wasn't getting better, so I had to take antibiotics for this whole week (recovery was miserable).

Today, I'm 95% better, and we're finally able to enjoy a little bit of Cambodia, thanks to my mother and father in law, posting this while laying down on my relaxing hammock on the river.

It's nice to remind yourself that sometimes, you know your body more and just don't push yourself, even while vacationing.

Hopefully, in the next few days, we can wrap up our Bangkok, Thailand post and finally start up our Cambodia posts 😋❤️.

Pro-tip: Make sure you check the weather before you go. If you sweat like a storm, you may want to do an indoor photoshoot instead, since 10 AM the time they're opened, and you likely won't go shooting outdoors until about 11:15 AM earliest!
